Who is this test for?

The certificate will be issued upon a negative covid result and reflect that you are fit to fly, with no symptoms of Covid-19 and a low risk of spreading coronavirus to other people in the country you intend to fly to.

How accurate is this test?

NowMed offers a private Fit-to-Fly test with a certificate with the same day turnaround. This PCR throat and nasal swab is a nucleic acid test performed in our partnered laboratory to approved standards. Test with us by 3pm, and get your results back within 24hr.

• We come out to you or you can come to us and visit us at our clinic (Please note: Outbound visits has a callout charge)
• Visit our website www.nowmed.co.uk/pcr-travel-tests. Do check with your airline in advanced and visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice selecting the country you are travelling to for the latest travel requirements.

Please note that we can only issue you with a Fit to Fly Certificate if you test negative for Covid-19.

How long should I allow before my flight to take this test?

We recommend you should get tested in advance and not leave it to just 24 hours before your flight. However if you do require a same day service, we can provide results with a minimum of 18 hours turnaround time.

What do I do if I test positive for coronavirus?

If you do test positive then it is imperative to isolate yourself, and ensure that other members of your household do the same even if they do not have symptoms.

What happens if I don’t take a pre-departure test?

Failure to show evidence of a negative Covid-19 test result may result in you not being able to travel to the UK. If you arrive in the UK without proof of a negative test result, you may be fined.
